Travelling to the wonderful Changbaishan to catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing Tianchi and the snow covered mountains is becoming extremely popular for tourists across the world. Changbaishan Scenic Area
The Changbaishan Scenic Area can be divided into the north, west and south. From June till July the western section is covered by a sea of flowers and between July and August the mystical forests are filled with adventure.
By the time September approaches the mountain changes colors with the arrival of autumn, the once green leaves gradually change to a shade of red then yellow providing photographers with the perfect opportunity to catch the colors of autumn.
Hongye Valley is situated in Jiaohe, each year the red leaves season begins between September and October. The valley is part of the Lafa Mountain National Forest Park apart from the valley there is also the Nanhu waterfall which is also ideal for photography. The admission fee for Hongye Valley is 100RMB per person.
Photography Tip: To capture the details of the leaves you can use a large aperture lens and experiment with different angles to capture different effects.
Ailin Fishing Port
Ailin Fishing Port is part of the Songhua Lake Scenic Area. One of the highlights of the fishing port is the “fog”, though this “fog” is unlike the usual fog we are familiar with. The “fog” is a result of the temperature and humidity that causes steam to arise from the surface of Songhua Lake. This usually happens during May and October when the weather is dry and on sunny days only.
Photography Tip: To snap the best photos at Ailin Fishing Port you have to be up early, as the best time to take photos is at dawn.
Panjin Red Beach
The Red Beach is located in Panjin and is a phenomenon, as you would imagine most beaches are covered with sand but at Panjin this is another story. The beach is covered in red sea weed known as Sueda, from April to May the seaweed is green but once autumn comes the seaweed turns red turning the beach into a field of red.
Here you can also view the crowned cranes and black beaked gulls, the beach is also otherwise known as “Home of the Cranes”.
Photography Tip: The most important element of photography is finding a theme, therefore its best to focus on one theme to ensure that your photos are simple.

Taking a relaxing weekend stroll along the quiet Changle Road of Shanghai taking in the tranquil scenery of red rooftops and yellow grey walls you can enjoy the peaceful scenery.
During the stroll you can stumble upon a sign at the side of the road with “Chinese Hand Printed Blue Nankeen Exhibition Hall,” following the sign you are led into a small alley and as you reach the end of the alley you think you’ve reached a dead end there is another sign that tells you to turn right, then you continue to turn..turn…turn and then you have reached a fascinating location where there is a courtyard in full bloom.
What’s more eye catching in the garden is the beautiful nankeen fabric hanging from the bamboo gracefully fluttering under the slight breeze and sunshine.
On entering the small house situated right across the courtyard the first thing that grabs your attention has to be the blue and white world you’re entering! You find Qipaos, long skirts, bags, cushions, tablecloths and many more items!
The possibilities are endless with the blue and white fabric. According to the shop assistant the blue nankeen printed material has long been the common fabric for commoners in China for generations. The traditional way of dyeing the fabric consists of several complicated procedures in order to create such beautifully patterned fabrics.
Small items such as little bags and mobile covers are all under 100RMB, clothing ranging from summer to winter can range between from a few hundred to a few thousand Yuan. Apart from completed merchandise fabric with a wide choice of patterns can be purchased and you can try your hand at DIY, fabrics cost vary depending on the print and are sold by the meter.

Wandering around the Old Town of Lijiang that has a history of 800 years you will no doubt come across the Mu Mansion. This ancient palace was once home to the prestigious Mu family who were the Naxi rulers of Lijiang from the Ming right through to the Qing dynasty.
The mansion itself has been described as the Forbidden City of Lijiang, the structure and layout mimics that of the Forbidden City, the Mu Mansion also exhibits traditional Naxi design and architectural style. The Mu mansion in all its glory covered an area of 8 acres and stretches 369 meters. Sadly, most of the mansion was destroyed during the Qing dynasty and what we see today is a renovated reconstruction and is only half the size of the original Mu Mansion.
The mansion is built to face the east and can be separated into two areas, the office are and the living quarters. The meeting room is located at the other end of the square and is known as the yishi room and is said to be where the head of the Mu clan discussed their official and political matters.
The gardens within the residence are also filled with attractive eye catching orchids and azaleas making it the perfect place to chill and escape the crowded areas. Hutong, refers to the lanes and alleys in the main streets of town and village, also means the relatively small streets leading into the inside of residential area. Thanks to the climate in Guangxi Province, the mountain is green for nearly all the year around. 4 The Daming Mountain
Daming Mountain is lying in the northeast of Wuming County, 104 kilometers away from Nanning. The mountain runs from northwest to southeast with 100 kilometers in length and 25 kilometers in width. The main peak of Daming Mountain is the highest peak in south-central Guangxi with an altitude of 1764 meters. Due to the special conditions of topography and clime, there is a large natural ecological system, including more than 1700 species of plants and more than 40 species of animals in the mountain. It is a natural zoological and botanical garden.
5 Nanhu Lake Park (South Lake Park)
Nanhu Lake Park is a comprehensive aquatic amusement park combined with water landscape sub-tropical gardens scenery, with the total area of 191.92 hectares, of which land area of 90.12 hectares of water area of 101.8 hectares. There are Ling Mingrui and Wei Baqun Baise Uprising Museum, bonsai garden, orchid garden, flower garden, children’s playground, water amusement and other recreational facilities.
